Product Description:
The 8EI4X5HWD10.0700-1 is a servo drive module manufactured by B&R Automation and assigned to the 8EI Servo Drives series. Within an automation cabinet, it serves as a multi-axis power stage that converts three-phase mains into regulated motor currents for coordinated motion control. The module belongs to the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive product series and can be integrated with B&R controllers and encoder feedback to operate synchronous or induction motors in packaging, material handling, and assembly lines. In coordinated systems, the drive works with controller commands and feedback signals so speed and torque can be regulated for synchronized axis movement.
This unit is delivered as a 2-axis module, so one housing can control two motor windings independently. Each axis can continuously supply 4.5 Aeff without derating, providing sustained RMS current for torque production, and the input side accepts 3× 200–480 VAC for direct connection to common industrial mains. An internal braking resistor absorbs regenerated energy during stopping, while hardwired STO safety technology with encoder removes power to the motor phases when the STO channels open and still allows position supervision. Mechanical installation uses wall mounting, which aligns the heat-sink fins with vertical cabinet airflow. This arrangement keeps the electrical and cooling layout suited to enclosed industrial control panels.
The delivered model uses connector set 2 with two signal rows, separating power and feedback conductors to help reduce crosstalk. The module uses the standard option set and is supplied with a front cover. It does not include plug-in boards, so the delivered hardware remains in its base configuration. The front layout stays more straightforward because no additional boards need to be fitted to the unit.
