The 8EI2X2HWT10.0600-1 is a servo drive module from B&R Automation’s 8EI Servo Drives series. As a three-axis unit, it links the plant’s AC mains, motor windings, and EnDat 2.2 feedback in one wall-mounted housing. The drive’s role in industrial automation is to meter energy to each motor phase, capture position data, and coordinate braking so that packaging machines, material feeders, or robots follow deterministic motion profiles.
The drive operates from a three-phase supply of 3×200–480 VAC, giving it worldwide compatibility without transformer adaptation. Each axis sustains a continuous output of 2.2 Aeff, translating to a thermal rating that supports servo loops remaining in constant velocity or tension modes. Shaft power per channel is limited to 1 kW, while transient moves may draw up to 6 Aeff per axis to overcome inertial loads. These values are set by the internal IGBT stage and the 470 µF DC-bus capacitor.
