Product Description:
The 8EI1X6MWS10.0600-1 servo drive is produced by B&R Automation and belongs to the 8EI Servo Drives series of the ACOPOS P3 platform. Designed as a compact standalone drive, it converts an incoming AC supply into a controlled three-phase output for synchronous or induction motors used in indexing tables, packaging axes, and other precise motion applications in industrial automation. By integrating power electronics, braking circuitry, and safety interfaces into a single housing, the unit reduces cabinet wiring and provides deterministic torque control to higher-level PLCs through Ethernet-based motion networks.
Incoming power compatibility covers 3× 200–230 VAC or 1× 110–230 VAC, allowing the drive to operate from either three-phase plant power or a single-phase utility feed. Under nominal conditions, the drive can deliver a continuous output current of 1.6 Aeff for motors operating under sustained duty cycles. Integrated hardwired STO safety with encoder feedback removes drive torque in less than one millisecond for Category 0 stops, eliminating the need for external safety relays. An internal braking resistor dissipates regenerated energy during deceleration, so a separate resistor bank is not required. The housing supports wall mounting, allowing the drive to be installed securely inside a compact control enclosure while maintaining suitable airflow around its cooling surfaces.
A one-row connector set is included with the drive to support its required power, motor, feedback, and control connections. The electronics are enclosed by a fitted front cover that protects live parts during maintenance and supports a touch-safe installation. The hardware operates as a single-axis module, providing control for one connected motor without requiring a multi-axis enclosure. Its standard module configuration does not require an expansion bus or an I/O daughterboard for normal operation. The drive includes no plug-in module, so its operating behavior is configured through software parameters rather than optional internal hardware.
