Product Description:
The 8EI034HWSS0.0300-1 is a servo drive module manufactured by B & R Automation for the 8EI Servo Drives series, part of the ACOPOS P3 8EI drive platform. As a drive controller, it regulates one motor axis in industrial automation cells by converting motion commands from higher-level PLCs into controlled three-phase output. It is intended for precise current, speed, and torque regulation during dynamic servo operation. This single-axis format suits packaging, handling, and assembly equipment where each motor is assigned its own dedicated amplifier channel. The module is intended for cabinet installation, which keeps power distribution, cooling airflow, and cable routing inside the enclosure.
This unit is delivered as a 1-axis module. Its power stage supplies a continuous current of 34 Aeff from a mains range of 3x 200-480 VAC, allowing the same hardware to operate on both lower-voltage and higher-voltage industrial supply systems. That current level supports servo axes that need sustained torque during repeated motion cycles and rapid speed changes. Integrated SafeMOTION functions work with a digital encoder to supervise safe speed and position limits inside the drive. This arrangement reduces the need for separate external safety relays while keeping motion-related safety functions close to the controlled axis.
The housing is prepared for Wall mounting, and a molded front cover protects the terminal area inside the cabinet. The interface is provided as Connector Set 2 (2-row), which groups power, control, and diagnostic connections in one compact connection area. The drive is supplied in the Standard configuration. It has no internal braking resistor and no plug-in module included, so braking hardware or expansion functions must be added separately when the application requires them. Keeping these connections on the two-row interface also helps separate wiring by function without adding extra connection hardware to the base module.
