The 8EI017HWS10.0700-1 is a servo drive module from B&R Automation within the 8EI Servo Drives series. Delivered as part of the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive family, it converts motion commands from a controller into regulated motor power for one industrial axis. The unit is installed in machinery where precise torque, speed, and position control are critical to packaging, handling, and assembly processes, especially where repeatable axis response is needed during frequent starts, stops, and speed changes. Because current and velocity are regulated inside the drive, the connected motor can follow programmed moves with stable acceleration and deceleration.

Electrically, the drive accepts 3x 200–480 VAC mains and delivers up to 17 Aeff of continuous motor current, allowing it to run medium-power servomotors without derating during continuous operation. Power and feedback are routed through the supplied 2-row connector set, grouping the electrical interfaces in one location and reducing the chance of mismatched cable placement during assembly.
