Product Description:
B & R Automation produces the control drive 8EI017HWD10.0B00-1 as a part of the 8EI series. Its each axis delivers a continuous current of 17 Aeff and the peak current per axis is rated at 42.5 Aeff. The drive supports a continuous power rating of 8.5 kW per axis and uses a default 5 kHz switching frequency while its supported switching frequencies also include 10 and 20 kHz.
The 8EI017HWD10.0B00-1 drive features two-axis and supports wall-mounting configuration. It operates with a 3x200 to 3x480 VAC input voltage with a rated frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, ~4% variation. The drive's maximum inrush current reaches up to 50 A and it possess a capacity of 18 kVA. It maintains energy efficiency under the IE2 classification and provides support for a variety of encoders including digital interface encoder that can be configured as well. The encoder voltage is selectable between 11.45 V and 5.2 V while a maximum supported encoder load is 300 mA through a 75 m maximum cable extension. The 8EI0 drive's fieldbus interface uses POWERLINK V2 with 2 x RJ45 ports and the segment length for the fieldbus can be up to 100 m. It includes two trigger and two enable inputs, these inputs are 24 VDC, sink type and electrically isolated.
The 8EI017HWD10.0B00-1 drive's switching response is fast and reliable under standard control conditions of -25 degrees C to 55 degrees C and up to 4000 m altitude. Its power supply input is 24 VDC with ~25% tolerance and the input capacitance is rate at 5500 uF. The DC bus capacitance value is 940 uF and the minimum resistance for external brake is 25 ?. The 8EI0 drive weighs around 4 kg and it reserves a dedicated slot for an optional plug-in module as well.
