Product Description:
The 8EAD0000.000-1 belongs to the 8EI Servo Drives series manufactured by B&R Automation. It is installed inside a control cabinet to manage motion tasks and provide diagnostic feedback for coordinated industrial axes. When paired with matching power modules, the unit regulates position, velocity, and torque for servo motors used on packaging lines, assembly cells, and material-handling equipment. This lets the control system monitor axis response and report operating status during synchronized machine movement. Its cabinet-mounted format keeps the drive electronics close to the machine control hardware without placing the unit directly in the working area.
Connection hardware is arranged so that the one-row connector set is omitted, while a 2-row connector set is provided for higher pin density. The operator interface uses a black-and-white LCD display for status information and menu navigation. Graphics and text appear at a resolution of 128 × 64 pixels, and the screen connects through the dedicated X9 display connector. The denser connector format helps concentrate signal routing in limited cabinet space. The design also omits an internal braking resistor, so braking energy must be handled by an external resistor or by the DC bus of a shared supply.
Mechanical layout requires a vertical top clearance of 100 mm to support convection cooling and safe cable bends. A service computer connects through the integrated 1x USB 3.0 port for setup, diagnostics, and data access. The drive is supplied with the Standard module option, which means no module-specific extensions are installed. Because the unit has no front cover, it is intended for installation behind a cabinet door or another protective panel opening. This placement keeps the display and connectors accessible while the enclosure provides the required physical protection. The available USB connection also supports quick access to stored settings and diagnostic records during routine system checks.
