Product Description:
B & R Automation manufactures the 8BVI0110HWD0.000-E as part of its 8BVI Servo Controllers series. This wall-mounted unit is a dual-axis drive intended to energize and regulate two synchronous or induction servo motors in automated machinery, providing current, voltage, and frequency conversion so the connected motion axes follow the commands issued by the machine control system. It is suited to machines that need coordinated motion on two separate axes without adding a second drive housing. It can be used where synchronized transport, positioning, or transfer movements must be handled from a single control point.
The controller manages exactly 2 axes and can deliver a sustained phase current of 15.1 Aeff to each motor winding while tolerating momentary surges up to 37.7 Aeff for rapid acceleration. A maximum output frequency of 598 Hz lets it excite high-speed motors without losing resolution in the velocity loop. Internally, energy is buffered on a DC link rated at 750 VDC; its storage element of 660 µF smooths regenerated energy and supports brief load peaks. These electrical limits allow the product to operate two independent motor connections through its integral terminals. Two plug-in module slots are available for application-specific option cards that expand feedback or communication capability without external enclosures.
The unit’s continuous power draw does not exceed 22.3 kW, so cabinet cooling and upstream supply sizing can be planned accordingly. An IP20 housing permits installation inside protected electrical panels where touch-safe guards are already present. The unit is built in the HV class, indicating a high-voltage design. Physical dimensions of 106.5 mm width, 263 mm depth, and 317 mm height conserve panel space, and wall-mounting holes are predrilled for alignment during installation. A 25 VDC ± 1.6% logic supply powers the control electronics, while dedicated motor connectors route phase conductors to the attached axes. This layout helps keep the power section, control section, and motor cabling organized in compact cabinet designs.
