Program variables and buffering are handled by 16 MB of DRAM, and two CAN ports move field messages at up to 500 kbit/s for drive, sensor, or valve islands. The integrated Ethernet transceiver follows the 100 Base-T standard, giving the module real-time access to higher-level controllers or SCADA hosts. A single RS-232 console reaches 115.2 kbaud for local serial access, and differential analog inputs present 20 MΩ impedance to minimize loading.
