Product Description:
The 8AC140.60-2 ACOPOS double-width plug-in module is the component of choice for the architecture of a complex automation system by virtue of its high-performance characteristics. Its power requirement is also up to 4.5W and is an AC140 system's (2.80 or above) extension module which ensures suitability for control system architectures.
Hence the 8AC140.60-2 module has ample computational and memory resources which includes a CPU clock speed of 100 MHz, 16 DRAM mb, and 32 kb SRAM. Also, there are other types of communications and other features that the module has. These include the RS232 interface (male 9-pin DSUB) which runs up to a baud of 115.2 kbaud, a CAN interface (male 9-pin DSUB) covering distances of up to 1000m and a Profibus interface (male 9-pin DSUB) where bus termination resistors have been mounted externally. In addition, there is a male RJ45 jack which supports Ethernet that can run at speeds of 10/100 Mbit/s that serves to connect device to a high-speed network.
Also, the 8AC140.60-2 module is able to operate with 16-bit counter up to a frequency of 80 kHz, these requirements make it suitable where high precision is needed for measurement and control. Thus, due to its high current digital outputs (up to 500 mA) and the low voltage rated analogue inputs (like -10 to +10 V), it can be capable of signal processing and controlling in many aspects. Due to the available KC certification marking and the strict safety and operational performance requirements present in ACOPOS system design, this module can be used in a number of industrial automation projects.
