The 8AC123.60-1 ACOPOS plug-in module further provides more encoder integrated processing and other signal processing options. Even though the module has a maximum power consumption of up to 7.5 W, it is designed to deliver superior performance and still control energy consumption levels effectively. Single encoder input support is available for this device which also operates with differential signal transmission for effective data relay.

There is a 15-pin female DSUB connector to attach this module and there are UP/DN LEDs on the module whose main purpose is to show the status of the module. There has been an addition of monitoring of encoders which enhances the quality and efficiency of the system. The encoder cable can be extended for up to fifty meters which offers flexibility in terms of alternative installation methods.

Each voltage level has a load capacity of 350 milliamperes, and the 8AC123.60-1 module can provide either 5 or 15 volts from its internal source. Further protection, this one is against overload and short circuits for the encoder supply is included which helps ensure prevention of functional failures and provides safety measures against possible failures.
