Product Description:
The 80MPH4.101S114-01 stepper motor is manufactured by B&R Automation and belongs to the 80M Stepper Motors series. Classified as an 80MP stepper motor, it performs positioning and indexing duties in industrial automation applications where open-loop control is suitable. Its square body follows the industry-standard NEMA 34 outline, allowing the motor to fit standardized mounting patterns while providing the precise incremental motion associated with hybrid stepper technology. This format supports installation in packaging equipment, material-handling systems, and other machines that require repeatable movement. The motor can operate with a compatible stepper drive that regulates phase current and supplies the pulse sequence used to control shaft position.
This model is supplied with no brake, so holding torque is generated entirely by the energized windings rather than by a mechanical latch. Motion feedback is available through a factory-mounted ABR incremental encoder, which produces quadrature signals for applications that require step verification or stall detection. The front face measures 86 mm, matching common gearboxes and couplings used with this frame format. The housing is sealed to IP65, preventing dust and low-pressure water jets from reaching the internal bearings or coils. A current base value of 10 indicates the nominal phase-current value used in drive calculations. Proper current regulation helps the windings remain within their thermal limits while the motor supplies the required torque.
The electrical data also include a multiplier of x10 (101), which the controller applies to the base-current value when calculating the applicable current range. The flange carries the size designation H, indicating the applicable mechanical interface for this model. The internal lamination stack uses motor stack code 4, which identifies the rotor and stator length used within the 86 mm frame. High-torque output is provided by a two-stack high-torque configuration that increases the active rotor length without changing the frame width. The longer magnetic assembly provides greater torque capacity for acceleration and holding applications while retaining the standard mounting footprint. Design revision 01 identifies the dimensional and electrical revision used for this motor configuration.
