Internal Product Review
The 80MPF3.250D114-01 is a B & R Automation 80MP stepper motor equipped with a brake for controlled deceleration. ABR incremental encoder feedback supports accurate step verification, while IP65 protection adds confidence in dusty or moisture-prone machine environments. Brake integration and encoder feedback make the motor a strong option for precise positioning duty.

Product Description:
The 80MPF3.250D114-01 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by B & R Automation for the 80M Stepper Motors series. In an automated machine, it converts discrete drive pulses from a microstepping controller into precise angular movement. This pulse-based operation allows indexing tables, small gantries, and metering pumps to position accurately without requiring a feedback loop on every axis. The motor is suitable for applications that require repeatable incremental movement and controlled holding behavior within a compact machine layout.
This model is supplied with a brake, so the shaft remains locked when the drive is disabled and vertical or high-inertia loads do not drift. Its housing is sealed to the IP65 protection level, blocking dust ingress and resisting low-pressure water jets common in washdown areas. Rotor position can be monitored through the integrated ABR incremental encoder. The controller reads the quadrature signals to confirm commanded movement and detect stall conditions. The square flange measures 60 mm on each side, providing a compact mounting interface for machine frames. The motor has the frame size designation F, which corresponds to B & R clamp collars and gearboxes that use the same size code. These mounting features support direct installation without requiring an oversized adapter plate.
The electrical data use a scaling factor of x1 (100), so the listed phase-current values apply directly without additional multipliers during drive configuration. The stator uses stack code 3 for its electromagnetic arrangement. The motor is built with 2 stacks, increasing the active magnetic length and providing greater holding torque than a single-stack motor with the same frame diameter. Design revision 01 indicates the first released version of this model and identifies the corresponding cabling and mounting arrangement. The motor is an 80MP stepper that works with the drive algorithms and connector pinouts used for compatible products in the 80M series. Its encoder can provide movement confirmation while the brake supports secure load retention when motor torque is unavailable.
