Product Description:
The 80MPF1.500D114-01 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by B&R Automation for the 80M Stepper Motors series. As a two-phase device, it converts digital pulse trains from a drive into discrete angular movements, making it suitable for positioning axes that do not need closed-loop servo feedback in industrial automation. Its hybrid stepper design supports repeatable indexing and feed tasks where position is set by commanded step counts rather than continuous servo correction. This makes it practical for compact machine axes and other applications that rely on predictable open-loop motion.
The motor executes each full step at a precise 1.8° increment. The rotor is held in place by 1.1 Nm of holding torque, while the stall torque is 0.8 Nm under static load. Its windings accept up to 80 VDC from the stepper driver, and the peak phase current uses a base value of 50 A with factor x1. Electrical values include a phase inductance of 0.85 mH and a phase resistance of 0.32 Ω, which affect current rise time and copper losses. Mechanical mounting uses a square 60 mm flange with the F size designation, and the shaft can tolerate a maximum radial load of 75 N. An integrated spring-applied holding brake supplies 2 Nm of torque to secure the load when power is removed. The single-stack design with stack code 1 keeps the overall length to 142.9 mm and helps limit inertia for responsive motion.
The encoder section uses an ABR incremental encoder that delivers 1024 increments per revolution through a push/pull asymmetrical output stage, allowing direct connection to common motion controllers. Insulation withstands 500 VAC for one minute, and the motor housing is sealed to IP65, which helps keep dust and water jets away from the internal windings. The maximum surface temperature is 90 °C, and operation within this limit helps preserve magnet strength and lubricant life. The incremental feedback also supports motion monitoring where the control system needs position pulses in addition to commanded step signals.
