Product Description:
The 80MPD5.300S014-01 is manufactured by B&R Automation for the 80M Stepper Motors series. Classified as an 80MP stepper motor, it translates pulse commands into fixed shaft increments for open-loop positioning in compact assembly stations, small indexing tables, and laboratory dispensers. Its standardized frame supports common mounting brackets and couplings without requiring a complex mechanical interface. The motor provides a straightforward alternative to closed-loop servo axes in repetitive industrial sequences where commanded step movement is sufficient.
The mechanical interface uses a 56 mm flange for a NEMA 23 frame and carries the internal size tag D, which establishes the shaft center height and pilot diameter for alignment with gearheads or pulleys. The electrical configuration uses a phase-current base value of 30. A multiplier of x1 (100) leaves that numerical value unchanged, allowing the connected drive to apply the corresponding current setting for rated torque. Rotor feedback is available through an ABR incremental encoder, which outputs quadrature pulses for speed verification and homing routines. Design revision 01 marks the initial product revision and supports the corresponding connection accessories.
The motor is supplied with no brake, which keeps the housing short and avoids added rotational inertia when mechanical detent torque holds the axis. Its internal lamination information includes motor stack code 5. The physical motor assembly contains 3 stacks, and this value indicates the number of magnetic sections that contribute to torque production. These two stack-related values describe separate configuration characteristics and should be entered according to the requirements of the connected drive. The motor has a standard protection level suitable for installation in cabinets or light industrial enclosures that remain free from oil spray and pressurized washdowns.
