Product Description:
The 80MPD5.300S000-01 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by B&R Automation within the 80M Stepper Motors series. The unit is classified as an 80MP stepper motor and belongs to design revision 01. It converts pulse commands from a compatible drive into discrete shaft rotation, allowing conveyors, indexing tables, and dosing pumps to move to commanded positions without integrated feedback. Its repeatable torque output remains synchronized with commanded step counts when the motor operates within its rated load. This open-loop operating method supports compact machines that require straightforward motion control and predictable incremental movement.
The motor is supplied with no brake, so load holding after power is removed must rely on external clamping or another suitable mechanism. Mounting uses a 56 mm (NEMA 23) square flange, which supports installation with compatible gearheads and machine plates. This mounting interface carries the size designation D. The rotor uses motor stack code 5, while the internal lamination assembly contains 3 stacks. This combination provides increased magnetic stack length without changing the flange footprint. The square mounting face also supports accurate alignment between the motor shaft and the connected mechanical load. Adequate support should be provided for attached couplings, pulleys, or gearboxes to prevent excessive radial loading on the motor bearings.
The winding set has a current base value of 30 and uses an x1 (10^0) multiplier for selection of the corresponding nominal phase current. The connected stepper drive must provide the required phase current while maintaining suitable acceleration and operating limits for the application. The motor has no encoder, so position monitoring depends on commanded step counts, external sensors, or limit switches. Its open-loop configuration requires the mechanical load and acceleration profile to remain within the available torque range to reduce the risk of missed steps. The motor uses the standard protection level, making it suitable for clean installation areas where it is not exposed to excessive dust, moisture, or direct washdown. Cabinet ventilation and drive settings should account for heat generated by the winding during continuous or repetitive operation.
