The 6PFT50.0502-10B is a compact PLC module with an integrated operator panel produced by B&R Automation and delivered as part of the 6PFT PLC Modules series. Within an automation line, it combines control logic and visualization so a single panel can execute program code while presenting process data on its built-in screen. This integration reduces cabinet space, shortens wiring runs, and supports decentralized installation near sensors and actuators for medium-sized machines that require real-time control and local recipe handling. Because the control and display functions are housed together, operators can view alarms, process values, and operating prompts directly at the machine interface.
At the center of the module is an ARM Cortex-A9, Dual Core processor operating at 800 MHz, a combination that supports deterministic cycle times for PLC tasks and smooth graphical updates on the panel. Program variables reside in 1 GB of DRAM, while retentive data and the operating system are stored in 512 MB of flash memory so information is preserved when power is removed. Network connectivity follows IEEE 802.3af (PoE), allowing the panel to receive both Ethernet communication and electrical power through a single cable.
