The 5PP582.1043-00 Power Panel by B&R Automation integrates control and visualization functions within a compact industrial unit. B&R uses exceptional and innovative technology to achieve optimal performance within an industrial automation system.
The 5PP582.1043-00 Power Panel front side includes clear status indication through four LEDs labeled Power, CF, Link, and Run which provide immediate diagnostics during operation. The cooling system operates without fans by utilizing a fanless design that contributes to long-term reliability in sealed environments. A BIOS-based bootloader manages the startup process. Located on the back side, two rotary mode/node switches offer 16 positions each by supporting flexible network addressing and function settings. It uses an MTCX-type watchdog with a defined buffer time of 10 milliseconds to ensure fail-safe monitoring. Memory support is configured with DDR2 SDRAM having a maximum of 2 GB for moderate HMI applications. Battery access is straightforward as the lithium-ion battery is removable and can be reached externally without opening the housing. A standard power button and reset button are present with a buzzer for audio alerts. For backup and runtime memory, it consumes a Renata lithium-ion battery rated at 950 mAh is used.
The 5PP582.1043-00 Power Panel has an expected service life of 4 years under regular usage conditions. The housing material includes polyester which aids in contributing to resistance against industrial environmental exposure. Aesthetic and visual clarity are supported by a light background color in RAL 9006 and a dark border color around the display in RAL 7024.
