Product Description:
B&R Automation’s 5PP520.1043-K12 is a subproduct of the magnificent Power Panel 500 series. As a robust power panel designed for automation systems, this electrical module incorporates Intel Atom technology and operates without a fan. Unlike other power panels released on the market today, this device utilizes analog resistive touch screen technology, which allows the user to conveniently handle tasks during operation. It has a 10.4” TFT VGA color display, allowing it to perform visualization tasks impressively. Although originally designed as an independent panel module, this device can easily be upgraded with the use of an interface board.
Like all other power panels from the 520 series, the 5PP520.1043-K12 provides connections for RS232, USB 2.0, and Ethernet. For applications requiring other communication protocols, a separate interface board may be used to extend functionalities. Due to its well-designed interface and external housing, the front panel of this device has a protection rating of IP 65. In the case of electrical modules and devices, a protection category of IP 65 represents immunity against low-pressure liquid jets and dust particles. For seamless integration and operation of this device, separate screw/cage clamp and terminal blocks must be used. In particular, this electric panel supports OTB103 terminal blocks, having a nominal voltage of 24 VDC.
During operation, the 5PP520.1043-K12 draws a nominal current of 1.2 A. At starting conditions, the nominal current may peak to a maximum value of 50 A for less than 300 microseconds. Once the inrush current stabilizes, the typical starting current is around 3 A. Once the device has reached steady-state operation, the typical power consumption is around 25.5 watts. Wake Industrial sells this power panel alongside a one-year module warranty.
