The 5PP520.0702-B00 is a human-machine interface from the 5PP Power Panels series manufactured by B&R Automation. Designed for machinery and process lines, it combines visualization, touch input, and integrated control in a single enclosure. The panel serves as a local operator station, allowing parameter access while the PLC relays real-time status through the display. Its integrated design reduces the need for separate display and input hardware on the machine door.
The front of the unit has a 7.0 in TFT display that uses thin-film transistor architecture, so dynamic graphics render sharply. Its native resolution of 800 × 480 px matches WSVGA content and reduces scaling artifacts on screen elements. Color depth reaches 16 million shades, which helps separate status colors and alarm indications on dense pages. A white LED backlight is rated for 50,000 h before brightness falls to half of its original level. Touch input is collected through analog resistive technology, allowing operation with a finger or a gloved hand. Because the illumination source is LED-based, power demand stays low and internal heat is reduced during continuous use.
Behind the sealed stainless-steel front, the panel provides one Ethernet interface with data rates up to 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, two USB ports that comply with USB 2.0, and one RS-232/485 serial channel for legacy devices. The supply section operates from 24 VDC, so the device can share power with standard control cabinets. Its stainless-steel faceplate carries an ingress rating of IP69K, which supports high-pressure washdown areas in food or pharmaceutical environments. An internal mezzanine connector supports additional I/O through an IF board expansion. This mix of network, USB, serial, and expansion connections supports both modern control hardware and peripheral devices in the same installation.
