Product Description:
B & R Automation's 5PP320.1043-K10 is a human-machine interface panel in the 5PP Power Panels series. Designed for line-side mounting, the unit merges visualization and basic control functions so operators can issue commands directly to PLCs and observe process values. Its aluminum housing dissipates heat through fan-free cooling, helping keep the enclosure sealed against dust and supporting continuous runtime in industrial automation environments.
It presents a 10.4 in TFT color display, giving adequate screen area for machine status graphics while fitting into compact control panels. The electronics are supplied from a stabilized 24 VDC source, allowing direct connection to common control-cabinet power rails. Network integration is offered through a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet interface for supervisory data exchange, and legacy equipment can be connected via the RS232 serial port. Two downstream USB connectors adhere to the USB 2.0 standard and support program updates, recipe transfers, or keyboard attachment. Touch interaction is enabled by the touchscreen, and a dedicated power button lets the panel be powered down without removing the supply voltage.
For configuration and maintenance, the front panel houses two mode switches with 2 × 16-digit positions, allowing quick access to startup settings without software tools. Onboard storage expansion is possible through a CompactFlash slot that accepts Type I cards, which can be used for local logging or system backup. The touch layer relies on analog resistive technology, allowing operation with gloved fingers in production areas. Environmental resilience is reflected in a storage temperature range of -20 to 70 °C, permitting the unit to be warehoused or shipped in non-climate-controlled conditions. All interfaces reside on the rear edge, and the fan-free design keeps dust from being drawn through the connectors.
