The onboard Geode LX800 processor is clocked at 500 MHz, and it works with 128 kB of L1 cache plus 128 kB of L2 cache to execute runtime tasks deterministically. A 256 MB DDR SDRAM main memory area holds application code and variable data, while the nonvolatile 2 MB flash memory stores the boot image and configuration files. Operator feedback is handled by a 10.4 in TFT LCD. This panel renders graphics at 640 × 480 px with a palette of 262,144 colors, giving sufficient resolution for detailed mimic diagrams. The display supports modest update times without overloading the processor, which helps balance clarity with cycle-time demands on embedded resources.
For field wiring, the panel accepts an 18 to 30 VDC supply, and the front sealing meets IP65 / NEMA 4X, so installation on washdown machinery is permissible. Two 2 x USB 2.0 Type A receptacles enable program updates or data-logging peripherals, while an RS232 port offers legacy serial links to drives or barcode readers. Removable storage is provided by a Type I CompactFlash slot, and discrete control can be exchanged through 1 byte of input and 1 byte of output on the dedicated key and LED interface. These connections support removable media, serial accessories, and basic machine signaling at the operator panel.
