The 5PP320.0653-K03 operator terminal is produced by B&R Automation within the 5PP Power Panels series. Designed as a compact human-machine interface, the panel combines display, touch input, and integrated control functions so it can be mounted on control cabinets or machine frames. In an automation cell, it provides local visualization and command entry, allowing users to view process data and enter setpoints directly at the machine without routing signals back to a central computer. This arrangement keeps routine interaction close to the equipment and supports direct access to operating information during normal use.
The front face carries a color TFT panel that renders process graphics with sufficient contrast for indoor factory lighting. Its viewing area measures 6.5 in diagonally, giving enough screen space for alarm lists, trend plots, and basic recipe dialogs. A resistive touch screen overlays the display so users can acknowledge messages or adjust parameters with a gloved finger, and no additional keys are required for normal tasks. The unit draws control energy from a 24 VDC supply, allowing it to share the same low-voltage rail as sensors and I/O modules. For data logging or software updates, it exposes 2 external USB ports, so a flash drive can be connected without opening the enclosure. Two rotary hexadecimal selectors reside on the rear panel, and the 2 hex switches allow a unique node address to be assigned directly on the device.
