Product Description:
The 5PP320.0653-K02 Power Panel developed by B&R Automation is a compact and integrated control and visualization solution that supports a wide range of automation applications as it combines processing, display and control elements in a single unit and it supports both horizontal vertical mounting.
The 5PP320.0653-K02 power panel includes a 24 VDC power supply input and supports fan free operation that enables efficient thermal management and it features a touch screen with analog resistive technology that includes both numeric and alphanumeric key buttons. This module supports two USB 2.0 interfaces and one Ethernet 10 / 100 Mbit port for data communication and it includes a Compact Flash card slot of type I that enables external data storage and easy access to stored information. The panel provides an RS 232 modern capable interface that is not electrically isolated and it integrates a real time clock that is battery buffered and two operating mode switches configured as digit inputs of 16 bits. It is compatible with ATX power supplies and has a dedicated power button for controlled startup and shutdown and it also includes 2 status LEDs that provide visual feedback for user interactions and Compact Flash card operations.
This 5PP320.0653-K02 Power Panel has a 512 MB SDRAM main memory and includes a BIOS for either Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE 5.0 or 6.0 or the automation runtime operating system and it allows integration of up to two PCI slots that enable additional interface modules. It does not include fans which support silent operation and reduced maintenance which is suitable for applications in industrial automation that require compact control units.
Frequently Asked Questions about 5PP320.0653-K02:
Q: How does the battery-buffered real-time clock benefit the 5PP320.0653-K02 Power Panel?
A: The battery-buffered clock ensures accurate system time even during power loss. This is critical for time-stamped data logging and system diagnostics.
Q: Why is the RS232 interface not electrically isolated in the 5PP320.0653-K02 Power Panel?
A: Non-isolated RS232 reduces design complexity and cost. It's suitable for applications where electrical isolation is not required between communicating devices.
Q: What is the advantage of having analog resistive touch technology in this Power Panel?
A: Analog resistive touch allows operation with gloves or stylus. It's reliable in environments where capacitive touch may fail.
Q: Why does the 5PP320.0653-K02 include two 16-digit operating mode switches?
A: These switches offer precise manual input for configuration or control. They allow easy mode selection without needing external software.
Q: How does fan-free operation contribute to the 5PP320.0653-K02 Power Panel's performance?
A: Fan-free design reduces noise and mechanical failure points. It extends product lifespan and lowers maintenance needs.
