The screen can show 262,144 colors and its analog-resistive surface works with gloved fingers through an Elo Serial 12-bit controller that tracks touch positions with 4096-level precision. A Type I CompactFlash slot supports removable media for recipe storage, and 2 MB of onboard flash is available for application code.
Control tasks are handled by a Geode LX800 processor running at 500 MHz, backed by 256 MB of SDRAM for dynamic data and program variables. Graphics rendering is assisted by 8 MB of dedicated video memory, preventing display updates from loading the main CPU during animation or trend plotting.
