Product Description:
The 5PP120.1043-K03 is a human-machine interface panel produced by B & R Automation within the 5PP Power Panels series. This unit integrates display, touch input, and onboard processing, so it can serve as both an operator terminal and a decentralized controller in automated lines. When mounted on an enclosure door, it provides local visualization, setpoint entry, and alarm acknowledgment. It can also exchange operating data with higher-level PLCs or SCADA systems through its built-in communication interfaces.
The visualization section uses a 10.4 in diagonal Color TFT screen, giving a bright image and wide viewing angles for indoor factory lighting. Graphics are rendered at VGA resolution, which suits 640 × 480 layouts commonly used in existing machine applications. The aluminum front complies with IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the display area when the unit is correctly sealed in a cabinet door. Control electronics draw power from a regulated 24 VDC source, allowing the panel to share the same low-voltage supply used by sensors and field I/O modules. This power arrangement supports straightforward integration with common industrial control cabinets.
The integrated Ethernet controller runs at 10/100 Mbit/s, enabling data exchange with PLC networks and remote supervisory systems. Legacy serial equipment can still be attached through the RS232 port, which is useful for devices such as barcode readers or simple drives that lack newer network options. In addition, two front-accessible USB connectors let operators import recipes or export process data without opening the cabinet. The panel mounting design fixes the unit flush to the door, which helps maintain the front seal and preserves convenient access at the machine. This combination of interfaces allows the panel to support local operation while remaining connected to external control equipment.
