The 5PP120.0571-K05 is an integrated operator panel manufactured by B & R Automation for the 5PP Power Panels series. By combining a processor, memory, and a resistive touchscreen in one enclosure, the unit provides localized control and visualization for industrial machinery, reducing cabinet space and wiring when compared with separate PC and display solutions. The housing measures 212 mm in width, 156 mm in height, and 55.5 mm in depth, so it fits shallow control panels while still leaving room for field wiring.
The panel runs on an AMD Geode SC2200 processor clocked at 266 MHz, giving it sufficient computing headroom for runtime logic, graphics, and communication tasks. A display measuring 5.7 in diagonally presents process data, and its 320 × 240 pixels resolution matches basic status graphics and text messages. Network integration is handled through a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX port that supports data rates of 10/100 Mbit/s, allowing linkage to PLC networks or supervisory systems over standard Ethernet infrastructure. Application code and the operating system are stored in 2 MB of onboard flash, preserving programs during power loss and allowing local storage without external media.
Main execution data are buffered in 128 MB SDRAM, supporting larger HMI projects with multiple screens. The front bezel carries an IP65 rating, permitting installation in washdown or dusty areas when the rear is protected inside a cabinet. Power draw does not exceed 15 W, minimizing heat inside sealed enclosures and allowing the unit to operate from a compact 1 A supply.
