B&R Automation 5PC910.SX05-00 is an industrial automation unit, which provides maximum performance to automated control systems. B&R Automation 5PC910.SX05-00 contains power, HDD, link, and run indicators which allow the monitoring of the current state of the system. This unit is designed to operate with a nominal voltage of 24V DC ~25% (safety extra low voltage SELV ), which makes it suitable for many industrial uses. The stability of the controller bootloader, also known as the BIOS, and the MTCX controller enable effective chip processing.

The 5PC controller contains a passive heat sink in its cooling mechanism, although an upgrade to an active fan kit is possible. It also has a lithium-ion battery (Renata 950 mAh) with a service life of four years to support its operation regardless of the changes in power supply. The system provides a buffer time of 10ms that ensures the continuity of the power supply in case of a power glitch. RS232 is also available in the unit along with modem compatibility but the inputs/outputs are not galvanically isolated.

The important aspect of the industrial unit is connectivity, the B & R 5PC possesses four USB 3.0 ports at the top and one USB 2.0 port at the front, with up to 1A current per port. Furthermore, it has a COM1 DSUB 9-pin male which provides a reliable way of sending data. It possesses fast data communication (max. baud rate of 115 kbit/s) and can serve for a long time which makes it suitable for industrial automation, control of processes and uses in various advanced systems.
