Its purpose on the plant floor is to consolidate separate control, HMI, and gateway functions into a single embedded computer that operates continuously under industrial conditions.
Processing is handled by an Intel Celeron 847E that runs at 1100 MHz and offers 2 physical cores supported by a 2 MB Smart Cache for deterministic multitasking. The Intel HM76 chipset connects peripherals and storage, while integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 operates at 800 MHz to render HMI screens without external GPUs.
