The 5PC900.TS77-01 is a CPU board produced by B & R Automation and equipped with the latest CPU technology. This board is built for the 5PC 910 automation system unit, it contains an Intel core i7 3612QE processor which can handle most computation task in industrial system. The processor in this product also operate at a remarkable clock frequency of 2.1 gigahertz. There are about 4 cores in this processor, the multi-core design helps the processor to easily handle complicated tasks while maintaining high speed and efficiency. Although this processor itself does not produce high amount of heat, operates are expected to keep the ambient temperature around the component below 55 degrees. Also, condensation of liquid around the processor should be strictly avoided. The cooling of the 5PC900.TS77-01 processor can be optionally done with a fan kit, however this can increase the noise in the automation system.

The Boot loader used with this CPU board is the AMI BIOS, the processor also works with a thermal design power measured to be about 35 watts. Unlike conventional CPU boards that operate with Cache L1 and Cache L2, the 5PC900.TS77-01 functions with a sophisticated smart Cache which has a memory capacity of 6 megabytes. There is also a DMI external bus that supports data transfer at a rate of 5 Gigabits per second. Other new generation features of this product include the Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the Intel vPro Technology, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology, Intel Virtualization technology and the Hyper threading technology.

The 5PC900.TS77-01 CPU board requires a DDR3 memory type, and can support a maximum memory capacity of 16 gigabytes. The control of graphics data on the automation system featuring this CPU board is done on the Intel HD Graphics controller installed on the product.
