Product Description:
The 5PC820.SX01-01 industrial unit is a production of B&R Automation that works as a central communication and power interface within an industrial control system. B&R’s creation of impressive equipment has proved a high-class solution for various industrial problems.
The 5PC820.SX01-01 industrial unit’s housing is made of galvanized plate and plastic which aids in providing structural strength while maintaining manageable weight. Its front cover uses black polycarbonate material by offering protection to internal components. It measures 53 mm in width and stands at a height of 344 mm. It weighs approximately 2550 grams and transport specifications may vary depending on component configuration. It has vibration in operational conditions from 2 to 9 Hz with a 0.3 mm amplitude and from 9 to 200 Hz with a 0.1 g force which is suitable for factory floor use. A drop height resistance of 0.25 m further adds to its suitability for handling in installation scenarios. With a degree of protection rated at IP20, the unit supports dry indoor environments. It operates with a nominal voltage of 24 VDC ±25% by ensuring tolerance to voltage fluctuations commonly seen in industrial automation domains.
The 5PC820.SX01-01 industrial unit draws a nominal current of 5 A. It consumes a peak current of up to 50 A for under 300 microseconds for protective circuit planning. Status indication is available via an integrated LED by helping maintenance and diagnostics. Communication capability is built in through one CAN channel which aids in supporting data transfer rates up to 500 kbit/s. A DSUB 9-pin male interface is provided which is linked with UART 16550 and equipped with a 16-byte FIFO buffer. Power-link interface support is included by enabling Ethernet-based data transferring.
