Product Description:
The 5PC810.X02 industrial automation unit is manufactured by B&R Automation within the 5PC Industrial Automation Units series. It serves as a compact controller that synchronizes motion axes, handles discrete and analog I/O, and links operator terminals through its integrated display interfaces. By combining control logic with high-speed field and plant networking, the device streamlines machine coordination and supervisory data exchange in automated production cells.
A short hold-up time of 10 ms is provided to ride through brief supply dips, while the serial COM channel reaches 115 kbit/s for legacy drives and sensors that still rely on RS-based links. Two Ethernet sockets support line or ring topologies and transfer user data at up to 1 Gbit/s. Five USB receptacles are available for service tools, removable media, and HMI peripherals, and all 5 ports follow the USB 2.0 standard for 480 Mbit/s signaling. The unit has a height of 270 mm, which supports installation in shallow control panels, and the front panel carries an SDL/DVI/Monitor connection so that remote displays can be attached without additional converters.
The power section draws a nominal 6 A and is safeguarded against touch and particulate ingress by the enclosure's IP20 rating. Internal energy storage uses a lithium-ion Renata 950 mAh cell, and the MTCX power-failure controller works with this battery to maintain real-time clock and variable retention during outages. Classification in overvoltage category II permits direct connection to building-level distribution circuits. For application data, the CPU has 512 kB of SRAM, while non-volatile process image storage is fixed at 192 kB of remanent variables, ensuring that setpoints and counters survive power cycling without external memory cards.
