This panel-mounted computer integrates processing electronics with an industrial touchscreen for use as a local HMI in automated production cells, packaging machinery, and process equipment. By combining visualization, parameter entry, and network links, the unit reduces cabinet wiring and supports real-time interaction between the machine interface and the PLC or SCADA layer.
Its display diagonal measures 15 in (381 mm), providing a working area that supports graphical objects sized for gloved-hand operation. Native resolution is 1024 x 768 px, so drawings and alarm lists remain legible without scaling. A luminance of 350 cd/m² keeps the screen readable under bright factory lighting, while a contrast ratio of 1000:1 improves separation between foreground data and dark backgrounds. The LED backlight avoids filament heat, and the analog-resistive touch system uses an Elo Serial 12-bit controller to accept single-point input even when the surface is wet. With LED illumination, the display maintains stable color over long operating periods.
The illumination system is rated for 70,000 h before brightness falls to half of its original value, reducing maintenance intervals.
