The 5PC720.1505-01 is an industrial operator panel produced by B&R Automation for the 5PC Industrial Automation Units series. The unit combines display electronics, touch sensing, and expansion slots in a single enclosure. It mounts on a cabinet door and serves as the local human-machine interface in automated lines and cells, relaying commands and status between operators and machine controllers.
The display measures 15 in (381 mm) diagonally and renders at a native resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. A luminance of 350 cd/m² maintains readability under typical shop lighting, while a contrast ratio of 1000:1 preserves clear differentiation between graphical elements. Input is accepted through a resistive touch layer, allowing operation with gloved hands or stylus tips. The front bezel carries an IP65 rating, sealing the screen and keys against dust and water jets during washdown procedures.
