Product Description:
5PC720.1043-K16 is an industrial PC, which is a type of specialized computer designed for use in demanding industrial environments. Industrial PCs can operate reliably in these environments where standard consumer-grade PCs would fail due to factors like dust, vibration, temperature extremes, or electrical noise. The PC is manufactured by B&R Automation. It has touchscreen display with color support. Diagonal size of the unit’s display is 10.4 inches. This TFT display supports VGA resolution. The display uses resistive touch technology for enabling operator input. Frame of the industrial PC is made of naturally anodized aluminum. The anodized layer provides excellent resistance to abrasion, scratches, and wear. It also acts as an electrical insulator, which is useful for applications where electrical isolation is required on the surface.
Approximate dimensions of the 5PC720.1043-K16 are 260 x 323 x 86 millimeters and its approximate weight is 3.6 kilograms. The PC runs on 24 Volts DC input. Its nominal current draw is 3.8 Amps. At startup the inrush current is typically 10 Amps but can go up to 40 Amps for less than 300 microseconds. The PC features several integrated communication interfaces. An Ethernet interface enables connectivity to wired Ethernet networks that transfer data at 10/100 Mbps. Two RS-232 serial interfaces enable connectivity with serial-enabled devices such as computers and terminals. These interfaces can be used for data transfer at 115 kbps. The RS-232 interfaces have a male 9-pin connector. Therefore the serial cable used with these interfaces must have a female DSUB connector with 9 pins. The system battery can provide ROM backup for 4 years. It is preferable to replace the battery before it gets fully discharged.
