B&R Automation manufactures the 5PC600.5X02-00 industrial computer as part of the 5PC Industrial Automation Units series. The hardware combines a fanless motherboard, embedded I/O, and fieldbus links in a compact housing intended to execute real-time motion sequences, run HMI software, and act as the supervisory node in distributed control architectures. Its design targets cabinet installation where space is limited and cable routing must remain organized.
Electrical requirements are straightforward. The controller accepts a single 24 VDC ±25% supply and draws a nominal 3.8 A, allowing it to operate from common 24 V panel power sources. An IP20 enclosure rating indicates touch-safe use inside indoor cabinets, although the housing is not sealed against fluid ingress. Networking is provided by two RJ45 connectors operating at 100 Mbit/s, which is suitable for PLC communication and SCADA traffic within a machine cell. Visual output is routed through a DVI-I port, so either a digital or analog monitor can be connected.
