By integrating these two deterministic buses on one plug-in card, machine builders can synchronize drives, sensors, and safety modules from a single PCI slot.

The card occupies a standard PCI half-size module slot, drawing only 4.0 W from the backplane, so the heat load on the host system stays minimal. For Ethernet cabling, it follows the 100BASE-T physical layer and accepts segments up to 100 m in length, attached through a shielded RJ45 port that maintains signal integrity in noisy cabinets. The circuit has an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for closed control enclosures. Plug-and-play enumeration lets the operating system detect the board without manual resource setup.
