The 5C4 PC Controllers series is a family of industrial PC-based controllers built around AT-compatible hardware, with processor options ranging from 486SLC2 and 486DX4 units up to a Pentium 100 configuration.
The series supports working memory capacities from 4 MB to 8 MB as standard, with higher maximum memory limits depending on the model, and it includes a 3.5-inch floppy drive with provision for installing up to two hard disks. The hardware is designed for industrial installation in either a 19-inch rack or door-mounted format, with an IP54 / NEMA 12 front, 90 to 260 VAC supply capability, and shock and vibration resistance suited for machine environments. Interface support includes multiple serial communication options, a parallel port, CAN communication, an AT keyboard connection, and a connector for up to seven keypad modules, while expansion is provided through four 16-bit ISA slots. The 5C4 PC Controllers series also supports integrated display operation at 640 x 480 resolution, external VGA monitor connection, and optional network expansion through PROFIBUS, ARCNET, and Ethernet interface cards.
