The part number 5C2002. 04 a product of B&R Automation's Provit 2000 series, is a highly reliable and flexible controller that is suitable for use in industrial applications. This controller uses a 486DX2-66 or 486DX5-133 processor with an option for a built-in coprocessor to perform calculations quickly.
It uses DRAM in a 1x PS/2 SIMM configuration with memory sizes ranging from 8 MB to 32 MB to ensure that it has enough memory for all its functions. Graphics are controlled by a C&T 65550 graphics controller with 1MB of video memory for proper and detailed graphics and visualization. The controller has numerous interface connections to different communication ports such as RS 232, RS 232/TTY, RS 485/TTY, and RS 232/422 to enable compatibility with many devices and peripherals. It consists of an isolated CAN on the COM3 plug and Ethernet (BNC, NE2000 compatible) for effective networking.
