The 5C2001.07 Controller is a compact but heavy-duty industrial automation computer unit. The Controller has an 80486DX5-133 MHz processor that delivers reliable processing power. The controller includes several interfaces and storage devices, hence a suitable controller for several control applications.

The 5C2001.07 controller includes a 6 GB hard disk drive starting from revision F0 and two PC Card slots to accommodate either two Type II or one Type III card. The controller includes four serial COM ports with RS232 and RS422 support and one bidirectional parallel LPT1 port. The controller supports PS/2 AT keyboard attachment and includes monitor and flat display connectors. It also includes an external disk drive connector and a Panelware keypad module connector. For network communication, the controller features an isolated CAN interface on the COM3 plug, an NE2000-compatible Ethernet interface via BNC connector, and an ARCNET interface via BNC. The controller is powered within the range of 5 to 50 degrees Celsius for restricted operation, and within the range of 5 to 47 degrees Celsius for round-the-clock operation that occurs 24 hours a day. It is able to operate up to 3,000 meters above sea level and has a relative humidity range that goes from 5 to 85 percent non-condensing.
