B&R Automation builds the 5APP1120.101E as part of its 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. This unit is a compact human-machine interface panel that mounts on machinery or control cabinets to relay process data, alarms, and commands between operators and the PLC or motion controller. A resistive touch surface replaces mechanical pushbuttons, so users can navigate menus, confirm setpoints, and trigger recipes directly on the screen without additional hardware.

The panel provides a widescreen layout with an aspect ratio of 16:10, and its 10.1-inch viewing area measures 10.1 inches diagonally. Graphics are rendered at 1280 × 800 pixels, allowing trend curves and detailed icons to remain legible at a normal operating distance. An LED backlight illuminates the display, which supports up to 16.7 million colors so status elements can be differentiated by hue as well as shape. The analog resistive touch layer is interpreted through a serial 12-bit controller, enabling press detection with gloved hands or stylus tips while keeping electromagnetic emissions low in industrial environments.
