Product Description:
The 5AP920.1906-K29 is an industrial touch panel manufactured by B&R Automation as part of the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. Designed for operator workstations, it combines a color display and a resistive touch surface to send commands and present process data within motion, packaging, and assembly lines. The unit interfaces directly with machine controllers, reducing wiring by relying on a single 24 V supply and serial links. By placing display and touch functions in one enclosure, it provides a centralized point for routine machine interaction, including status viewing and command entry.
The front display spans 19 in (482 mm) on the diagonal and uses a native resolution of 1280 × 1024. A TFT color module capable of 16.7 million colors keeps alarm states, menus, and process trends easy to distinguish under factory lighting. Touch input is captured by an analog resistive sensor governed by an Elo serial 12-bit controller, providing linear and pressure-stable coordinates during normal use. The panel fits in a PPC300 slot without extra adapters, and internal galvanic isolation separates its signal grounds from field wiring. Its nominal operating voltage is 24 VDC ±25%, so it can run from standard 24 V control rails, while three onboard USB ports allow service keyboards or storage devices to be connected through the housing.
The panel has a maximum current draw of 3.2 A, which determines the fuse rating and conductor size required for safe power delivery. The housing is only 62 mm deep, enabling shallow-door mounting while still leaving space for airflow behind the electronics. All front-access USB receptacles comply with the USB 2.0 standard and use Type A connectors; each socket can supply up to 500 mA to connected scanners or flash drives. That output is suitable for low-power accessories used for data entry, file transfer, and routine service access.
