Product Description:
The 5AP920.1906-K14 operator interface is produced by B&R Automation as part of the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. Designed for machine-side installation, the panel provides visual feedback and accepts touch commands so programmable controllers can be adjusted without opening an electrical cabinet. Within an automated cell, it supports parameter entry, status visualization, and alarm acknowledgment directly at the production station, which helps reduce unnecessary movement between the machine and the control cabinet. Its compact housing combines display electronics, touch sensors, and sealing elements in one unit that mounts on the included stainless steel support arm.
The panel features a 19" diagonal display that renders process graphics at SXGA resolution on a bright color TFT backlit screen. A laminated front foil adds shatter protection, while the front bezel meets IP66 so high-pressure washdowns do not penetrate the display area. The enclosure and bezel are milled from stainless steel grade 1.4301, and the edge geometry is formed without dirt-collecting corners that could trap residue in food-processing lines. Three sealing lips span the perimeter to strengthen the barrier between the display stack and the surrounding environment, and the unit locks onto a Rittal CP-S stainless steel support arm through captive fasteners.
The electronics draw 24 VDC through the arm conduit, and the rear housing carries IP65 protection so airborne dust and spray do not reach the internal boards. System communication is handled over an Automation Panel Link connection, while a 1 x USB 2.0 port is available for service access; a screw cap preserves the enclosure seal when the port is not in use. The resistive touch screen is integrated beneath the protective foil, allowing operation with gloves or a stylus. Its shallow housing also allows the panel to pivot freely without placing unnecessary strain on the routed cables.
