The unit combines a color screen with a touch surface so machinery operators can view status information and enter commands without external keyboards. Mounted in cabinets or on equipment, the panel links to B&R controllers through internal slots and fieldbuses, providing a flat front for interaction in automated lines.

The screen diagonal of 15 in (381 mm) gives operators enough area to place multiple diagnostic windows while staying within common cabinet cutouts. Its native resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels pairs with a TFT panel to render clear process graphics, and the ability to display 16.7 million colors helps differentiate alarms from normal states. Input is captured through an analog resistive touch layer, a format that responds to gloved fingers and stylus tips; an Elo serial 12-bit controller converts the touch position into coordinates for the CPU. For power, the unit accepts 24 VDC ±25%, letting it share the same low-voltage rail as sensors and PLC I/O. During energization, the panel can draw up to 30 A maximum of inrush current, so upstream supplies should have appropriate surge capacity.
