Product Description:
The 5AP920.1505-K54 is an operator interface from the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series produced by B&R Automation. It provides a 15-inch touch display that serves as the local HMI for machines or production cells. Operators can issue commands and monitor process variables in real time through a single front-panel connection. The format is suited to machine-mounted use where a compact, sealed operator station is needed close to the process.
The panel presents a display area of 15 in (381 mm), which is large enough for multi-window visualization while still fitting into standard cabinet doors. Its XGA resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels provides clear presentation for detailed graphics, status fields, and process screens. The display uses a TFT Color module, so each pixel is refreshed independently and the panel can show 24-bit color for readable visual differentiation. Internal electronics are supplied with 24 VDC, allowing direct connection to common control-cabinet power buses without a separate AC supply. For data and video, the unit relies on an Automation Panel Link connection that carries LVDS video, USB, and power return through one cable, which helps simplify routing inside enclosed machine structures and articulated support arms.
The stainless front bezel is certified to IP69K / NEMA 4X, so the panel can withstand high-pressure washdowns and exposure to aggressive cleaning agents in food or pharmaceutical lines. The screen detects input through a Resistive layer, which accepts gloved or stylus operation where capacitive touch surfaces may not respond reliably. This arrangement is useful on equipment that is cleaned frequently or operated in damp areas where a sealed front surface is important. The protected front construction also helps the operator station remain accessible at the machine without requiring a separate enclosure around the display.
