The 5AP920.1505-K48 is a human-machine interface panel produced by B&R Automation within the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. Serving as the visual and input node between a programmable controller and field equipment, this unit combines a TFT color display with analog resistive touch sensing to allow parameter entry, alarm acknowledgment, and status observation on production lines, packaging systems, and other automated machinery. Its display and touch functions let operators review machine conditions and enter commands from a single front-mounted interface.
It operates from a 24 VDC ±25% SELV supply and draws up to 3.2 A max, allowing direct connection to standard 24 V power buses. The screen measures 15 in (381 mm) on the diagonal, renders graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels, and reaches 350 cd/m² for clear viewing under typical factory lighting. An LED backlight supports that brightness, while the 16.7-million-color TFT display provides clear status indication. Touch input is recognized through an analog resistive sensor that responds to gloved fingers and styluses. The housing is 435 mm wide, 330 mm high, and 54 mm deep, which helps the panel fit into enclosures or swing-arm installations.
The aluminum front bezel is rated IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, so it resists dust and water exposure at the front of the unit. Three rear-mounted communication receptacles provide a USB 2.0 Type A host interface; each socket can source 500 mA per port, and the unit has 3 available ports for storage devices, barcode readers, or temporary peripheral connections. These rear USB connections expand local access for data transfer and accessory use while the front face remains sealed during normal operation.
