The 5AP920.1505-K16 is a human-machine interface panel from B&R Automation within the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. It integrates display, touch input, and communication hardware into a single front-mount assembly that links directly to the machine control network. In automated packaging, material-handling, and process lines, the unit replaces discrete push buttons and indicator lamps with a graphical interface for command entry, parameter editing, and diagnostic feedback. It can also present alarms, status pages, and operating screens in one location, which helps simplify routine machine interaction.
Visual performance is based on a 15 in color TFT display produced by an AU Optronics AUO G150XG01 V1 module. The native panel resolution is XGA, 1024 × 768 pixels, so pictograms, trend curves, and alarm lists are rendered with adequate detail for typical viewing distances at the machine. A 24 VDC logic supply powers the LED backlight, touch controller, and internal electronics, which matches the voltage commonly used by PLC I/O systems. The touch surface uses an analog, resistive design, allowing operation with gloved hands while remaining less sensitive to incidental surface moisture.
The laminated front glass is sealed to an aluminum bezel that achieves IP65 protection, permitting use on washdown workstations when the rear housing is placed in a protected enclosure. For high-speed controller graphics, the device incorporates a Panel Link slot, enabling remote video transmission over unshielded cables without interrupting touch operation.
