Product Description:
The 5AP920.1505-K04 operator panel is produced by B & R Automation for the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. This unit serves as a hardened human-machine interface that brings visualization and single-finger command entry to industrial equipment. It is intended for mounting on articulated arms next to production lines, allowing operators to view status screens, set parameters, and acknowledge alarms without accessing the control cabinet. Its construction concentrates all display, touch, and protective features inside a stainless-steel housing suited for regular washdown and aggressive plant environments.
The front of the panel carries IP66 ingress protection, so pressurized water or dust cannot penetrate the display bezel during cleaning. A 15" diagonal screen provides adequate area for standard SCADA layouts, and its XGA resolution yields 1024 × 768 pixels to keep graphics sharp at that size. Because the panel uses a Color TFT module, process values are rendered with high contrast even under overhead lighting. User input is captured through a Resistive sensor layer that detects pressure from gloved hands, making the interface suitable for food or metalworking stations.
The rear housing is fabricated from Stainless Steel 1.4301, giving chemical resistance and a smooth, bacteria-resistant surface. A seal system formed by 3 sealing lips surrounds the perimeter to compress against the enclosure door and maintain IP65 protection on the back and at the USB interface hatch. The panel attaches to machines through the Rittal CP-S support-arm system, letting installers swivel or tilt the screen to ergonomic angles while routing cables inside the arm. The absence of dirt-collecting edges, together with a laminated front foil for shatter protection, further eases sanitation procedures.
