Product Description:
The 5AP830.215C-00 panel is a human-machine interface supplied by B & R Automation within the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. Intended for mounting on control cabinets or machine fronts, the unit relays visualization screens from a remote PC while accepting operator input through its integrated touch layer. This combination allows production cells, packaging lines, or assembly stations to streamline recipe selection, parameter entry, and status monitoring without separate keyboards or pointing devices.
The display area measures 21.5 in, giving operators a generous workspace for complex graphics. A native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels keeps trend curves and alarm lists sharp, while the panel sustains a luminance of 250 cd/m² so imagery remains visible under bright factory lighting. A contrast ratio of 1000:1 increases differentiation between process colors, and support for a 16 million-color palette avoids banding in gradients. The front foil, housing, and gasket are rated IP65, blocking dust ingress and water jets during washdown. User interaction is captured by four touch points that are scanned by an EETI EXC7200 controller, and the signals travel over an SDL/DVI link to an industrial PC through the female DVI-I connector. One internal and one external USB port accommodate service sticks or barcode scanners.
Power requirements are modest: the unit draws a nominal current of 1.7 A at the 24 V DC supply and its overall energy demand is limited to 50 W, simplifying power-supply sizing inside the control cabinet. The LED backlight is specified for 30000 h of service before brightness drops to half, reducing maintenance intervals compared with fluorescent lamp designs. Its input layer relies on Projected Capacitive (PCT) sensing, so the glass can be covered by thin protective films without losing accuracy.
