The 5AP1130.101E-000 operator panel is produced by B&R Automation for the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. As a single-touch HMI, it serves as the local interaction point between machine controllers and operators, presenting process data while accepting control inputs through its touch screen. In factory environments, this model mounts on the front of a cabinet or machine frame, providing a sealed visualization interface that simplifies start, stop, and parameter entry tasks in automated lines.
Front installation places the display behind a panel with IP65 sealing, so washdown spray or airborne dust will not reach the electronics. An LED backlight provides stable brightness and a long service life without the heat output of fluorescent lamps. The 10.1-inch screen displays 16.7 million colors on a TFT layer, providing clear status graphics. Pixels are arranged at a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, which provides fine detail for small icons and trend plots. User input is detected through projected capacitive touch sensing, allowing direct touch activation through the cover glass. This input method supports responsive interaction with on-screen controls while preserving the panel’s sealed front surface.
The rear housing is designed for integration into a control cabinet. The back is rated IP20, indicating that solid objects larger than 12 mm cannot reach internal parts and that the unit requires an enclosure for complete system protection. Mechanical stiffness comes from a bezel made of coated aluminum, which also resists corrosion caused by cleaning agents. The panel has an overall mass of 2000 g, allowing an appropriate clamp or mounting assembly to support it without extensive reinforcement. A width of 279 mm pairs with a height of 191 mm to fit compact control doors, while a 3 mm compression gasket and black front face help maintain the seal against uneven cabinet cutouts. These dimensions also allow the display to provide a wide viewing area without occupying excessive space on the cabinet door.
